Kari Louthan developed Red Peak Gym, formerly Tiny Tumblers, where she could share her passion and excitement for learning in her favorite setting. Kari trained at Gym Cats in Henderson, NV under Olympic Coach Cassie Rice in her youth. She earned a full-ride Division 1 athletic scholarship for Brigham Young University, becoming an NCAA All-American Athlete, and BYU's first (& still) 10.0 score on beam in school history. She also holds one of BYU's top 3 all-around scores ever.
Immediately after her collegiate career, as a student-assistant coach for BYU, she helped the team advance to the NCAA Nationals. Then she was advanced to Assistant Coach for Southern Utah University. In her 11 years at SUU, she declined 4 other D1 coaching positions, coached 2 teams to Academic National Championships, advanced 6 times to the NCAA National Championships with athletes like Leah Sakhitab, Elise Wheeler & Danielle Ramirez, and in her last season helped the team to SUU's highest ever TEAM finish in school history (16th). She also was part of the team WAC Conference title, SUU's 1st ever 10.0 athlete Stacie Webb, and several athlete Conference title champions.
Kari has a Master's Degree in Exercise Science: Sports Conditioning, & certifications in Acrobatic Arts, RYT 200 Yoga, NGA Gymnastics & CPR. Kari aspires to improve with athletes every day! She considers herself the "luckiest Louthan," married to David Louthan, & together they enjoy 4 children: Cruise (12), Kaylee (9), Van (6), and Harper(4).
